Swim and Dive named to CSCAA Scholar All-America Teams

NORFOLK, Va. – The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Men and Women's Swim and Dive programs have been named to the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team today. This award recognizes teams that achieved a grade point average of 3.00 or higher during the 2016 Fall Semester.

The Stags earned the award after posting a combined average GPA of 3.27, 0.05 points higher than the overall average amongst all men's programs. The Athenas, on the other hand, recorded a GPA of 3.38, which was higher than the overall women's average of 3.336.

Vassar College led all Division III programs in the men's rankings with a 3.59 GPA and MIT led the women's with a 3.72. Overall 91 more teams and 36 additional programs have reached this honor compared to last year, as 73% of all CSCAA member programs posted GPAs above 3.00.
