Stags Win Fifth Straight Title

CMS finished first at the 2012 SCIAC Swimming & Diving Championships at South Gate and won their fifth straight and 32nd overall SCIAC Championship. CMS finished with 879 points followed by Redlands (812), Pomona-Pitzer (399), Cal Lutheran (332), Whittier (311), La Verne (299), Occidental (254) and Caltech (140).  The Stags ended up with four individual wins and won two of the five relays.

Winners on the final day included Brett Berger in the 1650 Freestyle and Vincent Pai in the 200 Breastroke.  Pai won his third title in the 200 Breast.

Second place finishers for CMS included Devin Bowers in the 100 Freestyle and the 400 Freestyle Relay team of Patrick Shultz, Austin Hallett, Blake Weber and Bowers.

NCAA 'B' qualifying marks were achieved by Berger in the 1650 Free, Bowers in the 100 Free, Pai and Brad Perfect in the 200 Breast and Marc Blumberg and Jordan Lieberman in the 200 Fly.
