Stags Lead After Two Days At SCIAC Championships

The Stags are in first place after the second of three days at the SCIAC Swimming & Diving Championships.  CMS has 607 points, 40 points ahead of second place Redlands.

CMS has won four of 14 events completed. The 200 Free Relay of Devin Bowers, Austin Hallett, Jeff McNerney and Patrick Shultz led off day one with a win and the 200 Medley Relay of Blake Weber, Brad Perfect, Jordan Lieberman and Bowers won to start the day two evening session.  Marc Blumberg won the 500 Free and James Stevick won 3 Meter Diving.

CMS finished second in six of the 14 events including Stevick in 1 Meter Diving, Hallett in the 400 Individual Medley, Lieberman in the 100 Fly, Cameron Whiting in the 500 Free, the 400 Medley Relay of Weber, Vincent Pai, Blumberg and Shultz and the 800 Free Relay of Shultz, Hallett, Weber and Jeff McNerney.

NCAA 'B' qualifying times were achieved by Lieberman in the 100 Fly and 100 Back, Stevick in 1 and 3 Meter Diving, Hallett in the 400 IM, Blumberg in the 500 Free, Pai in the 100 Breast, McNerney in the 200 Free and by the 400 Medley and 800 Free Relays.
