Stags Win Fourth Straight Title

CMS finished first at the 2011 SCIAC Swimming & Diving Championships at Long Beach and won their fourth straight and 31st overall SCIAC Championship. CMS finished with 921 points followed by Redlands (739), Pomona-Pitzer (479), Cal Lutheran (401), Whittier (272), La Verne (271.5), Occidental (217), and Caltech (181.5).  The Stags ended up with four individual wins and won three of the five relays.

Winners on the final day included Jordan Lieberman in the 200 Butterfly, Vincent Pai in the 200 Breaststroke and the team of Devin Bowers, Austin Hallett, Blake Weber and Sean Fitzgerald in the 400 Free Relay.

Second place finishers for CMS included Nick Ostreim in the 200 Backstroke, Bowers in the 100 Freestyle and by Brad Perfect in the 200 Breaststroke.

Pai achieved an NCAA 'A' qualifying mark on the final day in the 200 Breast while NCAA 'B' qualifying marks were achieved by Ostreim and Weber in the 200 Back, Perfect in the 200 Breast, Lieberman and Huss in the 200 Fly and by the 400 Free Relay.
