CMS Men's Soccer Opens SCIAC Play with 0-0 Tie at Redlands

REDLANDS, Calif. - The Clarmeont-Mudd-Scripps men's soccer team began defense of its SCIAC regular season title with a 0-0 tie at Redlands on Wednesday evening at Farquhar Field.

With the tie, CMS moves to 0-2-4 on the young season, including three scoreless ties, while Redlands moves to 0-1-3 on the year. 

Kevin Box had three saves to get the shutout for CMS, while his counterpart Seth Lawrence had four saves for the Bulldogs. 

CMS finished the game with a 13-10 edge in shots. Justin Blachman led the Stags with three shots, while Grant Donaldson and Rafael Otero each had two. Eric Sanchez had the best chance for CMS, but had his shot saved off the line by a defender at the 63:00 mark. 

CMS will be back in action on Saturday when it hosts its home opener against La Verne at 7 p.m.
