Coaches pick CMS fifth in SCIAC Men’s Soccer Preseason Poll

PASADENA, Calif. – Practice is underway for the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men's soccer team and the 2016 SCIAC Preseason Poll is out. CMS has been picked fifth by the conference's coaches in the inaugural preseason poll done by the SCIAC.

The 2016 Stags are led by nine seniors supported by 10 other returners and a large recruiting class, including two NCAA Division I transfers. CMS is coming off a sixth place finish in SCIAC last season with a 6-7-3 conference record, 6-8-4 overall.

On Aug. 27, the Stags head down south for an exhibition match at U.C. San Diego. The regular season begins for CMS on Sept. 1 at home against Pacific Lutheran. SCIAC play begins on Sept. 5 against Pomona-Pitzer, also at home on Pritzlaff Field.
