Shaw and Morkovine earn CoSIDA All-District honors

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Senior men's tennis player Daniel Morkovine (CMC) and junior men's golfer Jonathan Shaw (CMC) earned Academic All-District honors from the College Sports Information Directors of America. They were selected from the pool of athletes from "at-large" sports including swimming, lacrosse, tennis, and water polo and then voted upon by SIDs within the district.

Morkovine is on the 30-3 men's tennis team that recently advanced to the NCAA Elite Eight in Chattanooga, Tenn. after the 5-0 win over Trinity (TX) in the Regional final. He plays No. 1 doubles and No. 3 singles this season and was a member of the 2015 National Championship team. He is a recent graduate of Claremont McKenna College with a degree in economics and computer science.

Shaw is a member of the men's golf team that captured the 2016 National Championship and the past two Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference titles. He recently was crowned the individual winner of the SCIAC Championships as the Stags came from behind to punch their ticket to play in the 2017 National Championships in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida. Shaw is a rising senior at Claremont  McKenna College intending to major in management engineering.
