GCAA honors Stags on All-Region, All-Freshmen and All-America Scholar teams

NORMAN, Okla. – The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) honored three Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men's golf players on the Division III All-Region, All-Freshmen and All-America Scholar teams, as released May 12.

Freshman Jonathan Shaw (CMC) was selected to the All-Freshmen Team as the representative from the West region. The six member team is composed of one golfer from each of the six regions in Division III. Of the six, Shaw was the only one whose team made the cut at the NCAA Championships last week. Shaw finished 38th nationally in his first year of collegiate golf.

Shaw, junior Kethan Reddy (CMC) and senior Ben Ho (CMC) were all named to the Division III PING All-Region Team for the west region. Reddy led CMS at the NCAA Championships, finishing at nine-over for 26th place. This is Reddy's third consecutive All-Region selection. CMS tied with Redlands for landing three players on the All-Region team.

Ho and Reddy were also honored as Cleveland golf/Srixon All-American Scholars. To be eligible for this award, the recipient must be a junior or senior, participate in at least 50% of competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 79, and maintain a 3.2 GPA. Reddy was also an All-American Scholar during the 2014 season.
