Alumni show they still can play at Alumni Tournament

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. – Over 20 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men's golf alumni came out for the 2015 Alumni Golf Tournament on Feb. 7-8 at Empire Lakes Golf Course. The alumni Legends team defeated the current Stags 15 ½ to 14 ½, out of 30 possible points.

Alumni from five different decades signed up for the event, with a range from 1972 to recent alumni. The largest turnout came from alumni from the 1980's and 1990's.

"Having so many alumni participate this year was super," said head coach Bim Jollymour. In the past, most of the participants have been the guys I've been associated with since 2001. This year we had Legends from the 80's and 90's as well."

Coach Jollymour had two favorite parts of the weekend: meeting alumni he had not met before and watching the current team spend time and get to know their predecessors. With such a great turnout and 2015, Coach Jollymour and the men's golf team are already looking forward to having another great event in 2016.
