Stags ranked as No. 2 team in Division III by Golfstat

CLAREMONT, Calif. – At the close of the 2014 fall season, the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men's golf team ranks highly in Division III Golfstat rankings. In the first team ranking of the year the Stags were named No. 2 in Division III men's golf with an average score of 72.85 per round. CMS is the only SCIAC program to be listed in the top ten. Last October, the Stags were ranked No. 1 for the first time in the history of the program. See the current team rankings here.

Four of the top five competitors on the CMS team are freshman. The freshman class continued to be ranked No. 1 in Division III with an average score of 74.13 per round. See the Freshman Class Impact Ranking here.

Individually the Stags were recognized for their tremendous fall season. Junior Kethan Reddy was ranked No. 7 in all of Division III golfers with an average score of 71.62.  Freshman Jonathan Shaw ranked No. 13 nationally averaging 72.79 shots per round. The other three CMS golfers fell within the top 51 golfers in Division III. See the individual rankings here.
