Scarlett brings in All-Region and All-America awards
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – After being named the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference's Men's Basketball Athlete of the Year, junior Michael Scarlett (CMC) earned more awards from D3hoops.com and the National Association of Basketball Coaches.
Scarlett was named to the First Team for the West Region by D3hoops.com, First Team All-District by the NABC, and Second Team All-America by the NABC. He was also an honorable mention in the D3hoops.com All-America team.
The junior guard also set the CMS single season record for highest free throw percentage in the 16-game SCIAC season and was ranked No. 11 in the country, converting 91.0 percent of from the charity stripe. He was also third in the CMS all-time highest 3-point percentage in a single season, making 46.1 percent of his attempts.
