Gaffaney named to Bennett Rank’s All-America First Team

CLAREMONT, Calif. – Tyler Gaffaney's accolades continue to pile up as Bennett Rank named him to their Division III All-America First Team on April 6. Bennett Rank is a ranking algorithm and sports media site that delves into the data of college basketball, football and soccer across all NCAA divisions.

Gaffaney's 22.5 points per game lands him at tenth in Division III. Playing 36.4 minutes per game he is in the top 20 players. Additionally, he set the 2014-15 record for highest three-point field goal percentage on Dec. 13 going 7-for-7 only to go 9-for-9 from beyond the arc on Feb. 24, a mark that was tied for the best in all of the NCAA this season.

In 2014-15, Gaffaney led the Stags to a 22-7 record (CMS' most wins since 2012) along with the conference regular season and postseason tournament titles. CMS then advanced into the Round of 32 of the NCAA Division III Championships, before being eliminated from postseason play by East Texas Baptist.
