Career as a Stag ends for Winsberg with D3 Team of the Week honors
CLAREMONT, Calif. – For the second time in 2014, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps senior linebacker Max Winsberg (CMC) has been named to the D3football.com Team of the Week. In addition, Winsberg has also been selected as a USA College Football Player of the Week for games on Nov. 14-15.
In the final game of his career as a Stag, a 41-21 win over Pomona-Pitzer, he returned an interception 93 yards for a touchdown to put the Stags up 21-0 just over five minutes into the game. He added a second interception, forced two fumbles and had 10 tackles (including a sack) in the win.
