The cross country teams competed at the NCAA West Regional in Estacada, OR on Saturday and the top runner on both the men's and women's team qualified as individuals for the NCAA Division III Championships next Saturday in Northfield, MN.

Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men's and women's teams finished second at the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Cross Country Championships this past Saturday at La Mirada Regional Park.

Coleman, Gurney Lead Stags To 7-0 Record At Multi-Dual
The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps mens cross country team dominated their conference foes on a misty Saturday at Prado Regional Park in the annual SCIAC Multi-Dual meet. Running on the same course that the Stags qualified for the NCAA Championships last year, CMS bested Occidental College, the second ranked team in the region, 26-33 and went 7-0 overall in the meet.

Ross Wins SCIAC Multi-Dual, Athenas Finish Third
Evelyn Ross (JR, Iowa City, IA) was the overall winner at the SCIAC Multi-Dual meet on Saturday, but the team was not as successful and finished third overall with a 5-2 record.

For the second consecutive week, the men's cross country team won the team and individual titles at an invitational.

CMS placed three runners in the top 11 places at the Redlands Invitational and finished second as a team with 58 points.

Coleman's Victory Leads Stags to Win; Athenas Finish Fourth
Senior Adam Coleman (Clayton) had never finished higher than fifth on his own team in his first three seasons let alone finish better than that in any meet, but cross country is a sport where success is built on the base of mileage put in during ones career.
