Athenas Eighth At West Regional

The women's cross country team finished eighth at the NCAA West Regional on Saturday with a score of 210 points. They were the top SCIAC team in the meet for the 14th straight year. The seven runners averaged 12 seconds faster than they did winning the SCIAC title two weeks ago on the same course.

Brittany Nunnink (SO, Charlotte, VT) led the team for the first time and finished 32nd. She earned All-Region honors by finishing in the top 35 and set a personal best of 24:17 for the 6000 meter race. Evelyn Ross (SO, Iowa City, IA) was 42nd, Katie Mouzakis (SR, Alta Loma) 47th, Ariane Mohr-Felsen (SO, Laurel, MD) 52nd, Laurie Mittermiller (FR, La Jolla) 54th, Lindsay Burt (SR, Boise, ID) 64th and Rachael Martin (SO, Pasadena) 81st.
