Stags Fall to #3 Wash U
CMS Stags Tennis concluded its three match road trip in Texas with a 7-2 loss to Washington University (St. Louis) on Sunday. The Stags completed a week where they played five top ten teams in six days. CMS began the week in Claremont, with wins over #5 Middlebury and #1 Gustavus Adolphus, and then traveled to San Antonio and Austin, where they fell to #8 Trinity University, #9 Williams, and #3 Wash U.

Mens Tennis Drop Opener in Texas
CMS Stags Tennis lost its opening match of a three match road trip in Texas against #8 Trinity University 6-3 on Friday. After two consecutive doubles sweeps in dual matches on Tuesday and Wednesday, the Stags managed to only win one of three doubles against Trinity. Juniors Guillaume Schils (Shaker Heights, OH) and Lawrence Wang (Orange, CA) won their second straight at #1, to improve to 8-4 as a team on the season.

Mens Tennis Knocks Off #5 Middlebury
CMS Stags Tennis got an important 6-3 win over 5th ranked Middlebury College on Tuesday, to begin a week where the Stags play five (5) teams ranked nationally in the top nine (9) in a period of six days. CMS was led by three-time All-American Lawrence Wang (Jr. Orange, CA [pictured]), who won at #1 singles and #1 doubles.

Stags Conclude Four Match Parents Weekend Sweep
CMS Stags Tennis added two more 9-0 victories over Caltech and Westmont on Saturday to conclude a four match sweep. The win against Caltech puts the Stags at 3-0 in the SCIAC and extends their conference winning streak to twenty-four (24) matches, while the victory over Westmont is their second against an NAIA opponent this season.

Stags Defeat Biola and Fall to APU
CMS Stags Tennis got a split in their second consecutive Saturday double header with NAIA teams. The Stags defeated Biola 9-0 in the morning match and then lost a tough 7-2 match to second ranked Azusa Pacific University in the afternoon.

Alums Give Stags All They Can Handle at Ducey Cup
In what will be remembered as one of the most exciting Ducey Cups ever, Stags Tennis past and present squared off for morning and afternoon matches on Saturday. Twenty (20) Stags Tennis Alums participated with the current team in a morning session of sixteen one-set doubles matches.

Athenas Win 2007 SCIAC Women's Soccer Title
CMS defeated second place Occidental 4-0 at home on Saturday and the win clinched the conference title for the Athenas. This is the team's fourth title and first since 2003.

The CMS Athenas beat the Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens 2-1 on Wednesday night in their 12th game decided by one goal. With the win, the Athenas extended their winning streak to 10 games and remain at the top of the SCIAC standings with a record of 8-0 in league and 11-3-0 overall.
