Bio

Smarslok comes to CMS for his second season in 2017-18 from Kean University where he was a standout infielder from 2011-2014 and an assistant coach from 2014-2016.  Tyler was a starter at 2nd base for four years for the Cougars, helping them to reach the Division 3 World Series in three consecutive years from 2011-2013.  For his stellar work in the field, Smarslok was awarded the Rawlings National Gold Glove in 2013 for committing only 3 errors in 249 chances.  He was also a first team All-NJAC, All-NJCBA and All-ECAC performer.
