Baseball alumni play in honor of the Arces

CLAREMONT, Calif. – On a sunny day in late January, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps baseball alumni and their families gathered for the annual alumni event. First, two teams of alumni squared off in the Vintage Game. Then, the event was dedicated in the names of Nancy and Bill Arce, the founding family of CMS Athletics.

The day was capped off by the recent graduates facing the current Stags in a Challenge Game before the whole group gathered for a barbeque feast.

Head coach Bill Walkenbach said: "It was such a pleasure to be out there once again with our CMS Baseball Alumni.  They are a bunch of great guys who consistently support us in many ways.  I was so pleased that so many Stags could be there as we celebrated the lives of Bill and Nancy Arce, the father and mother of CMS Baseball and CMS Athletics.  We had great weather, great baseball, great food, and great camaraderie.  We couldn't have asked for any more."
