70 Stags and Athenas on SCIAC All-Academic Teams

On July 1, the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced the 2014-15 Spring All-Academic Teams. Claremont-Mudd-Scripps students made up 70 of the 436 athletes honored.
Menthen earns Second Team All-SCIAC honors for Stags

The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps baseball team landed junior MacKenzie Menthen (CMC) on the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference’s (SCIAC) Second Team, as released on May 11.

Kingsmen beat Stags in first game of round robin play

In the first game of the SCIAC round robin games, the No. 8 seed Claremont-Mudd-Scripps baseball team hosted the No. 1 seed, Cal Lutheran with the Kingsmen victorious 11-2 on Wednesday afternoon. The Stags manufactured two runs in the sixth inning but Cal Lu had consistent scoring throughout and proved to be the better team.
Pair of comebacks give CMS series win over Whittier

Down late in both of its games at Whittier on April 18, the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps baseball team found a way to win on each occasion as CMS swept Saturday’s conference doubleheader and captured the weekend series win.
Three solo homers on Senior Day for Stags

On Senior Day, John Rizzo hit two blasts to left field while freshman Trey Smith went yard over the left center fence for the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps baseball team’s only runs. The Stags lost 7-3 against Whittier on Friday afternoon.
Stags Baseball drops weekend series vs. University of Redlands

CLAREMONT, Calif. – The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps baseball dropped both games in a Saturday double header versus the University of Redlands. The Stags kept it close in the first game losing 6-4 but lost their steam and dropped the second game 14-1 in seven innings.
Big second inning lifts Stags over Caltech

CLAREMONT, Calif. – The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps baseball team faced off against Caltech on Friday afternoon and defeated the Beavers 10-0 in seven innings. This is the first win for the Stags in SCIAC play on the season.

Hits galore in loss to MIT

In a Wednesday afternoon game that saw 28 total hits from both teams, the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps baseball team came up short 9-6 against the MIT Engineers. Nolan Anderson led the way for the Stags going 4-for-5 at the plate.
CMS Athlete of the Week: MacKenzie Menthen – Baseball (3/16 - 3/22/15)

The Claremont McKenna College junior had a big week offensively for the Stags, who went 1-2 during the week. Over the three games, Menthen went 8-for-13 at the plate with eight RBI, four doubles, three runs scored and a home run.
Menthen, Weissenfels lift CMS over Rutgers-Newark in series finale

The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps baseball team won their final game in a weekend series versus Rutgers University in Newark (NJ). The Stags lost the first two games 11-7 and 13-2 respectively and won the final game with a score of 11-10. After the series, CMS goes to 2-23 on the season.

CMS Baseball drops weekend series to Chapman University

The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps baseball team faced Chapman University in a three game series over the weekend and played close in the first two games. The Stags lost at Chapman 4-2 on Friday and then lost on Saturday 5-3 and 14-3 in back-to-back games.
