Kate Parrish - Women's Basketball

CLAREMONT, Calif. - Sophomore forward Kate Parrish helped the CMS women's basketball team to a 4-0 record since returning from break, scoring in double figures in every game off the bench, including a game-high 13 points in a narrow 47-41 SCIAC road win at Redlands on Saturday.

Parrish's contributions have helped the Athenas to a seven-game win streak, putting them at 11-2 overall and 3-1 in the SCIAC, good for a four-way tie in the loss column. Her production off the bench has been a key component in the team's success, scoring nearly a point per minute over the last six games. In the four games since resuming action on Dec. 29, Parrish has scored 13 points in 15 minutes against Colby, 12 points and 10 rebounds in 13 minutes against King's College, 13 points in 16 minutes at Redlands, and 12 points in 14 minutes against Cal Lutheran.

In addition, Parrish pulled down 17 offensive rebounds over the four games, helping CMS to a dominant rebounding advantage, including 51-21 in the win over Redlands and 53-29 in the win over King's. In the close win at Redlands, she had three offensive rebounds in the fourth quarter, and added four straight points after the Bulldogs closed to within 36-35 to give CMS some breathing room coming down the stretch.

CMS will be back in action on Wednesday night when it hosts Occidental at 7 p.m., looking to stretch its win streak to eight games.
