Kailee Severt - Women's Basketball

Kailee Severt helped the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women’s basketball team to a perfect 2-0 record in the Wells Classic over the weekend. Severt was the Athenas’ leading scorer in both games on the week including a 22-point performance against Case Western Reserve on Friday night.

Severt and the Athenas defeated Case Western 78-58 on Friday night before topping the Ithaca Bombers in a tight, 74-68 battle. In the two games, Severt went 15-25 from the field including a 4-9 effort from downtown. She also grabbed 11 rebounds and blocked two shots.

Just two weeks into the season, Severt and the Athenas are off to a strong start. CMS is 3-1 on the season and Severt has scored in double-digits in three games this season. The Athenas will next take the floor on Wednesday when they travel to La Sierra at 7:00 p.m.

Off the court, Severt is a biology major at Claremont McKenna and will be heading to Pharmacy school following her graduation this spring. She is a humble and kind teammate while being one of the hardest workers on the team. She has shown that work ethic and resiliency by battling through multiple knee injuries in her career.
