Kendrick Morris - Men's Basketball

With a pair of victories last week, the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men’s basketball team took over first place in the SCIAC. Kendrick Morris (CMC) was a huge part of the Stags ascending to the top of the conference. Morris averaged 18.0 points and 9.0 rebounds per game as the Stags defeated La Verne 72-53 and Occidental 70-60.

Against La Verne on Wednesday, Morris earned his third-straight double-double by recording game-highs with 22 points and 13 rebounds. Later in the week against Occidental, Morris was nearly perfect from the field, shooting 6-7 in the game and scoring 14 points.

On the week, Morris was 15-23 from the field (65.2%) and 5-6 from the charity stripe.

With the two victories, CMS runs their winning streak to nine games and will next take the floor on Wednesday when they host Pomona-Pitzer at 7:00 p.m.
