Scott Lynds - Men's Basketball

CLAREMONT, Calif. – After leading the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men’s basketball program to a 4-0 start, senior Scott Lynds (CMC) is named CMS Athlete of the Week. The starting point guard was highly efficient this past weekend at the David Wells Classic, shooting above 50 percent from the field in two games.

On Friday’s game against Cal Maritime, Lynds scored 20 points and pulled down four rebounds with a steal. With the Stags trailing 77-73 in the final two minutes of the game, Lynds scored seven straight points to lead the team from behind to steal the victory. The following game against Southwestern, the senior guard shot 6-for-7 from the field to score 14 points and nabbed a steal for a 101-56 blowout victory.

Scott Lynds is second on the team in scoring, averaging 15.0 points per game, and has not missed a single free throw this season. He is also shooting an extremely efficient 55.3 percent this year and is grabbing 4.3 rebounds per game.
