Jacey Coniff - Soccer

CLAREMONT, Calif. – After a clinical display of defense this past week, holding both Occidental College and University of La Verne scoreless, junior Jacey Coniff (HMC) has been named CMS Athlete of the Week (Sept. 26). The center back has played a pivotal role in helping the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women’s soccer team go on a three-game shutout streak, with five shutouts overall this season.

In last Wednesday’s game against Occidental (Sept. 21), Coniff kept the opposing offense marked the entire game and limited her opponents to only four total shots, easily holding onto the 1-0 lead. In the following game against La Verne (Sept. 24), the defensive stalwart didn’t give the opposing forwards any room to operate and helped the Athenas limit the Leopards to only five shots the entire game, none of which were on target.   

The junior defender was also named SCIAC Athlete of the Week (Sept. 26)
