Mara Falahee – Women’s Basketball

(1/11 – 1/17) – The Scripps College senior forward helped the Athenas keep their perfect conference season in tact as the team went 2-0 with a win at Caltech (60-32) on Jan. 12 and an overtime home victory over Chapman (50-44) on Jan. 16. CMS is now 7-0 in conference play. Against Caltech, she came away with 10 points on 5-of-8 shooting, six rebounds and two assists. Then against Chapman, she pulled down 10 boards and had one point. Her one point could not have been a more important point however, as it tied the game at 42 with four seconds left in regulation and sent the game into overtime. This season, Falahee has averaged 8.6 rebounds and 5.5 points all while being a defensive presence for the Athenas.
