Kim Scamman – Women’s Basketball
(12/29 – 1/4) – The first team All-Conference selection from a season ago has never had an issue scoring points during her CMS career, as she has frequently put up big numbers and filled up the scoring column. This past week, senior guard Kim Scamman (CMC) had a big week scoring, even for her standards. The Northridge, Calif. native started her week with a career-high 41 points on Dec. 29 in a 65-61 win over Johns Hopkins. In the game, she scored her 41 points on 15-of-20 shooting from the field with four three-pointers and she added nine rebounds, four steals and an assist. She fell just three points shy of the CMS single-game record of 44 set by Rebekah Chee vs. Linfield in 2000.
Also during the week, Scamman scored 13 points in a win over Milwaukee School of Engineering and had 17 points and eight rebounds in a win over Redlands. Over the three games, she averaged 23.6 points on 64 percent shooting from the field and 43 percent shooting from the three-point line. She also averaged 5.6 rebounds, 2.3 steals and 2 assists. She connected on 28-of-44 shots from the field and 6-of-14 from the three-point line.
