Warren Wood - Men's Tennis

Warren Wood (Del Mar, CA), a senior captain for the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Stags completed a rare Division III men's tennis triple crown at the NCAA Division III Tennis Championships from May 18-23 in Mason, Ohio. On Wednesday, May 20, playing number one singles and number one doubles, he led the Stags to the team championship, 5-0 over Middlebury for the program's first team national title since 1981. Three days later, he completed the sweep by winning the singles national title (first since 1993), defeating his teammate, junior Skyler Butts, in the morning final. Later in the day he then paired with senior teammate Joe Dorn to win the doubles championship (first since 2008) over Robert Kjellberg and Sebastian Sikhfrom North Carolina Wesleyan. Wood finished his career with more wins than any other player in program history with over 100 wins in both singles and doubles.
