Trey Smith – Baseball

(2/9 – 2/15) – The CMS baseball team’s offense had a breakout three-game series over the weekend, scoring 22 runs in the three losses to Pomona-Pitzer. Freshman outfielder Trey Smith (CMC) played a big part in the offenses’ success. He hit .700 (7-for-10) in the three games with two home runs, three RBI, four runs scored and three walks. His best game of the three-game series came in a 10-6 loss on Feb. 14 at Arce Field. He went 3-for-3 in the game with two RBI (RBI single and solo homer) and also had two walks. In eight games so far this season, Smith is now hitting .500 with three home runs and six RBI.
