(10/6 – 10/12) – The duo won the Division III USTA/ITA National Small College Championships over the weekend becoming the first women’s doubles team from CMS to win the national title since the women's doubles competition began in 1991 at the Small College Championships. In the doubles championship match, Kuosman and Ward defeated the 2013 runner-up and second-seeded team of Patricia Kirkland and Sonja Meighan from Washington & Lee 6-3, 1-6, 6-3 to win the national title.  On Wednesday, the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) named the duo its Athletes of the Week for the week of October 6-12.

After winning the doubles national title, they went on and competed in the "Super Bowl" which pitted the winners of the Division II, Division III, NAIA and Junior College levels against each other.

The "Super Bowl" featured four teams and the CMS duo won its semifinal match on Oct. 11 and then lost in the championship match on Oct 12. In the semifinals, Kuosman and Ward defeated the NAIA team of Anastasia Baranova and Kateryna Shkot from Oklahoma Baptist University 7-5, 7-5. On the final day of competition in the championship match, CMS was defeated 6-4, 6-1 by Linda Fritschken and Emma Onila of Division II Barry University who won the event for the second year in a row.

Ward and Kuosman were the Division III runners-up at the NCAA Championships back in May.
