Megan Coleman – Volleyball
(10/20 – 10/26) – The senior from Palo Alto played a key role in the volleyball team going 3-0 during the week which included one of the biggest wins in recent program history, a five-set home victory over No. 2 Cal Lutheran on Oct. 21. The win was CMS’ first over Cal Lu since 2009 and snapped a 39-match conference winning streak for Cal Lu which dated back to Sept. 29, 2012.
Against Cal Lu, Coleman had 24 digs and six assists. For the week she totaled 68 digs and 10 assists in wins over Cal Lu (24 digs), at Pomona-Pitzer (21 digs) and Occidental (23 digs). In 2014, Coleman is averaging 5.84 digs per set which ranks 21st in Division III (Through Oct. 19 matches).
