Alex Toohey – Women’s Water Polo

(4/7 – 4/13) – The senior driver came up big during the week for the Athena water polo team with eight goals over two matches, both wins, as the team improved to 14-11 overall and 6-0 in SCIAC. The wins helped CMS maintain its one game lead over Pomona-Pitzer for first place in the conference. Toohey had five scores in the team’s 12-8 home win over Redlands on April 9 (Watch video highlights) at Axelrood Pool and followed that performance up with three goals in CMS’ 15-13 road win at Whittier. CMS hosts Pomona-Pitzer on Saturday, April 19 at Axelrood Pool for a key conference match and final match of the regular season.
