Roberts Pavilion Construction Update (Oct. 2014)
Transformation is occurring quickly at the Roberts Pavilion construction site. The project which had been years in the making on the conceptual level is now taking shape for everyone to see with the ongoing construction of the facility. Whether you walk by Roberts Pavilion on a daily, weekly or monthly basis or watch the construction camera online, you can’t help but notice the rapid growth of the building. A photo album of the most recent construction can be found on the Roberts Pavilion website.
Currently, crews are erecting structural steel which is the
framework of the 132,000-square-foot, three-level facility. The
current building stage which began in mid-September and is expected
to be completed in December, includes assembly of the structural
steel, metal decking and completion of the super structure of the
facility.
Prior to the structural steel stage which began in September,
crews completed the foundation of the building and work on the
underground facilities. Back in May and throughout June, crews
finished the Earthwork Stage which involved removal of an average
of 200 truckloads per day of dirt and rock to dig out the footprint
for the building’s foundation.
