============= Fall – Men===============

Men’s Water Polo
A 17-game winning streak along with a perfect SCIAC record and 27th conference championship were just some of the highlights of the 2015 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men’s water polo team’s stellar season. Last week, CMS got the chance to play in the National Collegiate Men’s Water Polo Championships play-in game, but fell to USC by a final score of 20-5. The Stags end the season with a 21-8 overall record (11-0 SCIAC) and will return a number of key starters next season, including All-SCIAC first-teamers Alex Waggoner (CMC ’17) and Rye Newman (CMC ’17).

====================== Winter – Women========================

Women’s Basketball
The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women’s basketball team lost to Westmont 61-53 in its only game of the week. Forward Kris Brackmann (CMC ’17) played more than 30 minutes and was 6 for 11 from the floor with three three-pointers, in addition to six rebounds. Center Kailee Severt (CMC ’18) notched 16 points and three rebounds. The Athenas hold a 4-2 record in the young 2015-16 season and will play their first SCIAC game on Dec. 9 at Chapman before a home matchup against George Fox on Dec. 12.

Women’s Swim and Dive
The women’s  swimming and diving team hosted Redlands in a SCIAC dual meet over the weekend. The Athenas won the meet 165-75 and took all but one event. Naomi Ngo (CMC ’19) and Kayla Flaten (CMC ’17) helped the team win the 400-yard medley relay, Ngo earned first in the 200 butterfly while Flaten beat the field in the 200 breaststroke. Riley Hoffman (CMC ’19) was the anchor of the 400-free relay team and also won the 100 free and 200 free. The men’s and women’s teams will next compete in the Winter Invite in South Gate on Dec. 11-12.

====================== Winter – Men========================

Men’s Basketball
After starting the season with two losses, the Stags have now won six straight thanks to a thrilling 77-76 win over San Diego Christian at the Rains Center last week. CMS trailed at halftime by eight points but Michael Scarlett (CMC ’18) helped rally the Stags, as he led the team in scoring with 23 points and drilled three three-pointers in the second half. Shelby Lane (CMC ’16) collected 12 rebounds and had the game-sealing block as time expired after Nicolas Segura (CMC ’18) put CMS up by one with 12 seconds left. The 6-2 Stags won’t play again until Dec. 29 at Concordia.

Men’s Swim and Dive
The men’s swimming and diving team hosted Redlands in a SCIAC dual meet over the weekend and won all 13 of its contests, and earned first, second and third in the 400-medley relay and the 200 free. John Jeang (HMC ’19), Aaron Lutzker (HMC ’19) and Jackson Crewe (HMC ’19) each won three events, as they all participated in the 400 medley relay, with additional first-place accolades going to Jeang in the 100 free and 400 free relay, Lutzker in the 200 butterfly and 200 breaststroke, and Crewe in the 200 free and 500 free. The men’s and women’s teams will next compete in the Winter Invite in South Gate on Dec. 11-12.
