Athenas Through Title IX: 1990-2009

In the 50 years since Title IX was passed into law and Athena teams began competing for CMS, the Athenas have been a force to be reckon with in SCIAC, regionally and nationally. The ‘90s and early 2000s saw the number of Athena sports offered grow, SCIAC championships won, dynasties started and success at Nationals with individual national championships as well as team triumphs.

This week in honor of the 50th anniversary of Title IX (June 23) and as we continue to highlight Great Moments from 75 Years of Athletics, please join us in the celebration of CMS Athena teams.
