CMS Athletics thanks trainer Craig Harnetiaux for 16 years of service

After over 16 years of service to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, assistant athletic trainer Craig Harnetiaux is leaving the program and moving up north to Bakersfield.                                                                                 

"CMS is a big family and so I'll miss the amazing relationships and friendships that I've cultivated over the years," Harnetiaux said. "I certainly am grateful for my time here."

During his tenure, Harnetiaux worked with student-athletes from each of CMS' 21 varsity teams. He primarily worked with soccer, men's basketball, and women's lacrosse.

"Craig's been instrumental in all the things we've done with regards to the health and safety of our student-athletes and the development of our sports medicine program here," Interim Director of Athletics Mike Sutton said.

Head Athletic Trainer Steve Graves added, "Craig had been a big part of the growth of the sports medicine program over the past 16 years. When he started there was just the two of us, and since then he has helped me develop the program into what we do today. I enjoyed working with him, and his friendship."

Harnetiaux joined the CMS athletic training staff in the middle of the 2002-03 school year after working at locations such as Esperanza High School, Santa Ana College, and Disneyland. He has been a certified athletic trainer since 1998 after completing the athletic training program at California State University, Fullerton. He graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a B.S. in Kinesiology and in 2007 earned his Master's in Exercise Science from California University of Pennsylvania.
