Update on Roberts Pavilion Preview Days

Dear CMC Community:

With the Roberts Pavilion Preview Days in April fast-approaching and the excitement on campus around those weekends mounting, I wanted to share with you several pertinent details related to the Preview Days to help you plan your first visit to this incredible new building.

Go to the following link for a Pavilion map to see the areas that will be open for the Preview Weekends.

Below is information on how to sign up for scheduled tours, Roberts Pavilion Policies and Procedures, and a building access waiver that ALL students must fill out at least three business days prior to entrance to the facility.

To attend a Preview Day, there are just two easy steps that you will need to take prior to your visit.

1. Review and sign the Roberts Pavilion Building Student Access Waiver (Required to be Completed By Students At Least 3 Business Days Before Entry into Roberts Pavilion)

The waiver must be completed and submitted via the link above at least three business days prior to entrance to the facility. Once the waiver is submitted, your college-issued I.D. will be activated to allow access to Roberts Pavilion during the Preview Weekend operating hours. A scannable Claremont McKenna College I.D. card is required for entry. On the weekend of April 16-17 when Harvey Mudd and Scripps College students are allowed access to the facility, they will also be asked to present an activated institution issued I.D.

3. Sign up for Preview Day tours here: Sign up for Roberts Pavilion Guided Tours

The Pavilion will open for full use in August. In the meantime, below is the schedule for Preview Day Weekends. The new fitness center, arena gym, recreation gym, lobby, and fitness studios will be open for activity on Preview Days. Other portions of the building will not be ready for use until the whole facility opens in August. The fitness center at Frazee will be closed during the Student Preview Days but will be open Monday through Friday in April; the weight room at the tent will continue operating during normal hours Monday through Sunday.

Schedule and Operating Hours for Preview Day Weekends

April 9-10
April 16-17 (Open to Scripps and Harvey Mudd students, as well as CMC students)
April 23-24
April 30-May 1

Operating hours for the aforementioned weekends at Roberts Pavilion are scheduled as follows:

Saturdays: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with building tours set for 2 p.m.
Sundays: 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Building tours will be available at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on the Fridays preceding the weekends noted above. The building tours will be open to CMC students, faculty, and staff.

We also have set April 8 and 29 as Senior Days. These are special days for CMC seniors to preview the new space before they graduate. We're pleased that they will be the first students to experience the Pavilion on April 8. And, please remember to put Friday, September 30, on your calendar as we kick off ImpactCMC Weekend with the Roberts Pavilion Dedication ceremony.

Sincerely,
